The End of St. Petersburg
The End of St. Petersburg (Russian: ??? a???-???????, translit. Konets Sankt-Peterburga) is a silent film directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and produced by Mezhrabpom, released in 1927. Pudovkin's most famous film, The End of St Petersburg, was commissioned to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the October Revolution. It cemented his place as one of the foremost Soviet montage film directors. Along with Mother (1926) and Storm Over Asia (1927), the film is part of Pudovkin's'revolutionary trilogy' (1928).
