After two students, Sam and Thea, meet with Coles at an event, their mutual attraction is immediate, leading into some awkward and passionate night together, and also the start of a mutually charged bond. Because they continue to push the sensual boundaries in the friendship, however, they are tested by Sam and Coles' incipient love and Thea recklessness, before relationship dissolves amid a cloud of mistrust, bitterness and fear. Eight decades after they return. An animator Coles, for a ad agency lives his girlfriend for five decades, with Claire. Thea is happily married with whom she possesses a restaurant that is booming. And Sam has only returned to Manhattan where she broke off her engagement after working in London. Yet up on re connecting, the three are drawn straight back into the dynamic that defined their relationship and must face the true meaning of devotion and love.
