Chōdenji Robo Combattler V

Ch?denji Robo Combattler V is the Primary Section of This Robot Romance Trilogy of Super Robot Show Made by"Saburo Yatsude" and Led by Tadao Nagahama. The robot's name is a portmanteau of Combine, Combat and Battle, and the V is intended both as a abbreviation for"victory" and with regard to this five component machines that form the robot, as well as its five pilots. The V is pronounced as the letter V, where as at the follow up series, Voltes V, it's pronounced"5". Saburo Yatsude, who would go on to create Golion made the series. "Saburo Yatsude" is not a true individual, but a pseudonym which refers to this collective team at Toei. Sunrise animated the series on Toei's reward. The initial look of Combattler V at the USA was from the late 1970s as part of Mattel's Shogun Warriors lineup of imported Super Robot toys under the title of'Combattra', and as such was one of the three Super Robots from the Marvel Comics companion Collection.
