This sit com is about the lower-class family that is entirely wacky Backeljau, that consistently speaks the very ordinary Antwerp dialect. It consists of daddy François'Cois' Backeljau, his wife Maria, '' the rather adorable Bomma ('granny' Thérèse, his mother), the even older pet (in dog years) Blacky, their kid Franky along with his wife Janine, daughter Sabrina and her husband Antonio and little nephew Lionel, the funniest however smarter then all his idiotic family relations along with various lovers, friends and everyday guests, like the mailman and the Police Man.
