The Old Grey Whistle Test
The Old Grey Whistle Test can be an influential television music series that ran from 1971 to 1987. It required over the BBC2 late night slot from"Disco Two", which have been running since January 1970, while continued to incorporate non-chart music. BBC manufacturer Rowan Ayers devised it. As stated by presenter Bob Harris, its name was introduced by the programme earlier. If they got the first pressing a record they would play it to people they called the older greys--doormen in gray suits. The songs they are able to remember and moan and the previous grey whistle test, having heard it only had passed.
