Sharpe
Sharpe is a series of television dramas starring Sean Bean as Richard Sharpe, a fictional soldier in the Napoleonic Wars. Sharpe is your protagonist of several novels by Bernard Cornwell. Most, though perhaps not all, of those episodes are centered on the books. Produced by Celtic Pictures and Picture Palace Films for the ITV system, the collection has been captured largely in Turkey and the Crimea, although a filming was likewise completed in Portugal, Spain and England.
The series ran from 1993 to 1997. In 2004, as part of ITV's fresh set of play, ITV announced it intended to generate fresh episodes of Sharpe, in co-production with BBC America based on his time in India, with Sean Bean continuing his role since Sharpe. Sharpe's Challenge can be just a two-part adventure. Part one was located on ITV on 23 April 2006, with part two being shown. With increased gore than episodes, the show was aired by BBC America in September 2006.
At a booksigning in Bath on 11 October 2006,'' Bernard Cornwell demonstrated there were plans with ITV to film two episodes. Filming was supposed to launch in April, but has been postponed as a result of the resignation of the chief executive, in which point production was pushed back to September of ITV. So production was postponed, however, Sean Bean was inaccessible because of other obligations. Cornwell explained he believed they produced two brand stories specifically for tv when asked about the stories. It had been announced that the Peril, produced by Celtic Film/Picture Palace of filming Sharpe, began March 2008. The first part was aired on ITV on 2 together with the part shown. Sharpe's Challenge and the Peril of Sharpe were aired as part of PBS' Masterpiece Classic season in America in 2010.
