The Grand Mansion Gate

This period drama show follows the conclusion of a merchant family participated throughout the waning years of the Ching dynasty in Traditional Chinese Medication. The events of the family of doctors/pharmacists (which in days past were just one and the same) are closely related to societal upheavals of this period such as the encroachment of Christian missionaries and foreign imperialism as well as conflicts which inevitably emerge at a large upper class family. Comparable in scope and production value to such recent titles as"Downton Abbey", the lives and character of the masters and servants intertwine in plot outlines which crosses more than a creation.
